Cosas was a Chilean magazine that covered social life, entertainment, politics, fashion, and culture (1976-2018). Together with José Bidegain and Bastián Pérez, I was in charge of the direction and editorial design for the book commemorating the 50th anniversary of the magazine.
Cosas The Book was conceived as a book consisting of two parts: On the one hand, there are the stories of the magazine's historical contributors, who shared their experience through their links with the magazine. This allowed us to design a neater format that would guarantee the narrative continuity of each contributor. On the other hand, the other section consisted of compiling photographs and historical events that were covered by the magazine. This section covered topics of Culture, Politics and Society, which led us to carry out an editorial work closer to the magazine's own language. Here we mixed different topics and titles, from royalty to politics, making reference to the collage style and aesthetics characteristic of the tabloids of that time. The book had two readings, two covers and two different graphic exercises.
